On September 23, 2026, Interactive Studio partnered with EMERA, a leading provider of senior care and residential care facilities in France, for its annual corporate convention held at the exceptional Puy du Fou venue.
For this event, our mission went far beyond producing content for a screen. We designed a truly narrative, interactive and immersive experience, combining artificial intelligence, video production, motion design, real-time interaction and holographic technology.
An ambitious project built around one central idea: bringing EMERA’s past, present and, above all, future to life through emerging technologies.
Thibault Sartini, President of the EMERA Group.
A Cinematic Opening Created Entirely with Artificial Intelligence
The convention opened with a film created entirely using generative AI technologies.
In this sequence, EMA arrives at Puy du Fou before discovering a mysterious secret bunker. She enters the building and makes her way to an impressive control room.
From this fictional command center, EMA gradually introduces three key figures from the group’s leadership: Claude Cheton, founder of EMERA, Éric Aveillan, and Thibault Sartini, the group’s president.
Conceived as a cinematic opening, the film was designed to immediately break away from the conventions of a traditional corporate event.
Art direction, environment generation, staging, characters, editing, sound design and compositing: AI became a new audiovisual production tool in the service of bespoke storytelling.
EMA: An AI Avatar at the Heart of the Convention
For the event, we created EMA, a digital avatar designed specifically for EMERA. EMA was not simply featured in pre-recorded films: she was an integral part of the live conference.
Displayed on the main stage screen, she could notably interact live with Thibault Sartini, President of the EMERA Group, creating a genuine conversation between the executive and his digital counterpart.
This interaction challenged traditional corporate convention formats, bringing a more engaging, dynamic and spectacular narrative dimension to the presentation.

But EMA’s presence extended beyond the screen.
During one sequence, we staged her teleportation from the main screen to a holographic fan display approximately one meter tall, installed on stage. The avatar then appeared as a three-dimensional figure, creating the illusion that EMA had physically joined the conference.
This sequence combined 3D creation, video synchronization, stage design and holographic technology to deliver a memorable moment of surprise during the event.
An Interactive Map as the Conference’s Narrative Thread
To give the entire convention a clear structure, our teams also created an interactive map brought to life through animated video sequences featuring EMA.
This map served as the event’s central narrative thread, guiding the audience through major stages in the group’s history and transformation: the past, the present, today’s tools, the care residence of tomorrow and a vision of the future.
Animated transition from level 4 to level 5.
As the conference progressed, EMA guided the map’s evolution, unveiling new areas and introducing each new segment. This approach transformed a succession of speeches and presentations into one cohesive story, with every speaker taking the audience further into EMERA’s world.
Motion design thus became much more than a visual enhancement: it became a powerful tool for event storytelling.
Once completed, the map revealed the EMERA logo.
Telling EMERA’s Story Through an Animated Timeline
To revisit the group’s origins, we also produced a film tracing EMERA’s history and evolution up to the present day.
The animated timeline featured one particularly meaningful element: the voice of Claude Cheton, the group’s founder.
By revisiting the key milestones in its development, the film put EMERA’s journey into perspective while setting the stage for discussions about its future.
This sequence brought together archive material, storytelling, graphic design, animation and motion design to turn the company’s history into accessible, engaging audiovisual content.

Bringing Innovations Used in EMERA Facilities to Life
Another film created using generative AI showcased several solutions and innovations used across the group’s care facilities.
Rather than producing a traditional product-catalog presentation, we chose to showcase these technologies in realistic everyday-life scenarios.
The solutions featured included:
- Orikio, a fall-detection system;
- Spokeo, a headset and microphone solution that makes it easier for residents to hear and communicate
- the TASKI cleaning robot
- the Soundbox karaoke solution
- and EMERA Cafés, welcoming spaces inspired by traditional cafés and tearooms, where residents can spend quality time with visiting family members in a warm, convivial setting.
Our goal was to make each technology immediately understandable through real-world use, rather than relying on technical demonstrations alone. Artificial intelligence enabled us to rapidly create a range of environments, characters and scenarios while maintaining an art direction consistent with the group’s identity.
Artificial Intelligence or Real Footage?
We also designed a playful interactive segment around a question that has become particularly relevant in audiovisual production: can you still tell whether a video was generated by artificial intelligence?
Several everyday-life video clips, each around fifteen seconds long, were shown on screen. Participants voted directly from their smartphones to indicate whether they believed they were watching real footage or an AI-generated video. The results were revealed live.
This experience encouraged audience participation while vividly illustrating the remarkable progress of AI video generation technologies.
Was this video AI-generated or filmed in real life?
Engaging the Audience from the Very First Moments
In fact, the convention began even before the first film was played. As guests entered the auditorium, they were invited to scan a QR code with their smartphones and answer one question in a single word: How do you imagine the future?
Participants could interact live using their smartphones.
Each response appeared instantly on the main screen. Gradually, a dynamic word cloud took shape in real time from the audience’s contributions.
The live word cloud displayed at the beginning of the conference.
This first interaction immediately established the day’s key themes: transformation, innovation and a vision of the future.
The AI-generated opening film then played, followed by EMA’s arrival and the start of her on-stage interactions with Thibault Sartini.
Motion Design to Showcase the Tools of Tomorrow
Our teams also produced a motion design film to introduce a future internal management tool for EMERA’s various facilities. The challenge was to explain a complex platform, its features and how it works in just a few minutes.
We carefully designed the interfaces, animations, transitions and visual representations of workflows to transform a functional presentation into clear, contemporary and dynamic visual content.
This project perfectly illustrates our approach to motion design: using animation not only to enhance a presentation visually, but above all to explain complex information quickly and clearly.
AI, Holograms, Motion Design and Interactivity: One Immersive Experience
The EMERA project brought together several disciplines our teams work with every day: AI-powered video production, digital avatars, motion design, interactive experiences, holograms, storytelling and event scenography.
The aim was never to use technology for its own sake. Every element had to serve the event’s overall story:
- The avatar embodied the future.
- The interactive map structured the conference.
- The hologram created a moment of surprise.
- The films told the story of the group’s history and innovations.
- Smartphones empowered the audience to become active participants in the convention.
Together, these elements created a seamless experience, from the first QR code to the final speeches.
An Exceptional Setting: Lully Hall at Puy du Fou
The convention took place in the spectacular Lully Hall at Puy du Fou, a venue particularly well suited to this kind of audiovisual experience.
The quality of the equipment, screens and technical production facilities enabled us to make full use of the content created for the event.
We would also like to highlight the exceptional professionalism of Puy du Fou’s technical teams and stage managers, whose expertise was essential in synchronizing every aspect of the experience: video, screens, live interactions, sound, lighting and the holographic appearance.
With this kind of event scenography, content creation and on-site technical execution are inseparable. For this project, the conditions were truly exceptional.
Thank You to EMERA for Its Trust
We would like to thank the marketing team, the executive committee and the entire EMERA Group for trusting us to conceive and produce a major part of its 2026 annual convention.
This project perfectly reflects Interactive Studio’s vision: bringing together audiovisual creativity, artificial intelligence, innovation and immersive technologies to develop new brand experiences and event formats.
Artificial intelligence does not replace ideas, art direction or filmmaking. Instead, it adds new tools to our creative toolkit.
Combined with motion design, interactivity, holographic technologies and thoughtful stage design, AI allows us to imagine events that are no longer simply conferences, but truly immersive, story-driven experiences.
